HUIS-CLOS 1986-2012

once upon a time…

In the small village of Couiza, close to Carcassonne, on the Cathare land, our mother Mijo educated three brothers with the faith to maintain them united by the music.

It hasn’t be easy for this music and classic letters teacher with those little garnements running away from music theory lessons, didn’t like so much classic piano lessons with old style ladies etc…; François was a fan of motobikes, Marc a rugby player and Pierre was fascinated by videogames….

The change

happened in 84:

François , excellent student, was during his business school studies in Lyon donde to a concert of the Cure (discovered some years ago), went back home with a record of the album “A forest”… All fitted, the melody, the color, the authenticity of the sound, the melancholy was suitable to of our mysterious land full of tales and treasures…

During two years we lernt from this band, now mythic.

Acting as oldest brother François acquired the necessary equipments to start playing in public and thanks to our father we changed the cellar into a music studio.

We started playing songs of B’52, Clash and also for sure The Cure…

Thanks to his addiction to electronics , Pierre developped a clear know-how in electronic piano and sequencers,   and helped to develop melodies and rhythms in line with our times, with “ Depeche mode” sounds. And then we started composing songs  (1986…).
